Proctor Information

  • A Proctor is required to administer assessments to students. Instructors may not proctor their own classroom. A Proctor can be a Professional within the school who is not an Instructor in the area of study of the assessment.
  • A Proctor may be from a different school, however, it is each schools responsibility to communicate the agreement with the Proctor to administer the assessments.
  • A Proctor is a volunteer position.
  • The School is responsible for selecting and registering the Proctor.
  • While you may proceed to purchase Skill Connect Assessments without choosing a Proctor, you will not be given access to the assessment(s) until you identify a Proctor to adminster.
  • If you do not identify a Proctor at the time you order the assessments, you must register & assign a Proctor in our system at least seven (7) days prior to the administration of the assessment.
  • A Proctor must be registered in our system and approved by SkillsUSA prior to administering the assessment.
  • A Proctor is not required if an assessment is ordered for an Instructor or Administrator to preview it.
Registering a Proctor: Register the Proctor on our website. A confirmation of approval will be emailed to the Proctor within two (2) business days. Once the approval has been received you may move forward with ordering the assessment(s) and/or assign the Proctor in the system.
