Fall 2013 Membership UpdatesThe entire site received a face-lift in the fall of 2013! Most of the functionality is the same, but things just look better and should be easier to navigate. Spring 2012 Conference UpdatesMany changes were being implemented for the Spring Conferences, including new Optional State Fees for things like Welcome Dinners, T-Shirts or Hotel Room Fees. We're also adding to a growing library of online training videos. Not sure how to add register for a Team Contest? Check out the online video training content here! Fall 2010 Membership UpdatesRestoring Last Year's Members Who Are ReturningThis year we have "archived" all Student members from last year. Hopefully this will make it less likely that Advisors accidentally re-register student members who have already graduated. This means when you initially look at your Section Details, there will be NO STUDENTS LEFT from last year, by default. If you have a number of returning students, you can click the new "Restore Members From Last Year" button on the Section Details page, just above the list of members.![]() Select which previous members are returning this year, and use the Restore Members button to bring them back from the Archive.
Please note the SkillsUSA National Office mailing address. Please direct all correspondence and payments to: Conference Data Restrictions and New "School Admin" Users We're in the process of implementing some tighter security measures to help control access to student medical information entered onto the site. To prevent any user from a school from being able to print full NLSC1 forms and access the complete medical information for each Conference Participant, we are limiting access to those features to either the person who originally keyed in the participant details, or to a "School Administrator".This process is evolving, but to start with, we've tried to identify one "School Administrator" for each School. You can tell who the School Administrator is for your school by opening a Conference Participant's detail page, and looking just below the School Address. The School Admin can see all the Medical Details for any Participant from the School, but other site users will only be able to see these details for Participants for whom they have keyed in the data. Since this is a new concept for the site, in many cases, we may not have tracked who originally created the Participant data. In this case, we had to make some assumptions about who owns the data, and so only the Record Owner and the School Admin will be able to access that Medical information. We have created a new facility to help the School Admin reassign ownership of records, so if ownership of a Student record has been assigned incorrectly, contact your School Admin to have that record reassigned. We have also had to make some assumptions about who should be the School Admin for each School. If your School Admin is incorrect, you'll need to email your State Director or the National office at customercare@skillsusa.org to have the School Admin changed. Questions about membership?
